Overview
Manages one or more “Material Groups “ for the whole Sika India. Development of Procurement strategies within the assigned material group. Improvement of quality and processes in the respective material group. Identification of saving opportunities and
initiation of respective projects Realization of savings, quality and process potentials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and drive one or more material groups to ensure the success of the material group as part of the category. Drive the material group to achieve required performance, and focus on the effective application of the Sika sourcing methodology. Ensure that the stakeholders applies the rules of the Sika Procurement Manual.
Ensure that the sourcing process is robustly applied and push the stakeholders to position themselves to deliver maximum value.
Drive the spend, identify and remove potential barriers to success
Ensure the material group is following the targets defined in the procurement team and is in alignment with the involved Sika Target Markets or country strategy.
Ensuring the implementation and tracking of the achieved results.
Report to head of procurement and category manager and is aligned with the overall category targets.
Self-contained realization of strategic projects and targets.
Create and track strategic Procurement targets by measuring KPI`s
Take ownership for delivering targeted bottom line results for the material group and provide regular material group and category communication which includes savings and other objectives. Provides monthly MIS reports to the head of
procurement.
Identifies and facilitates structural saving projects in pan India, ensures supply of materials for all factories served by the material group.
Ensures that representatives of the participating location are involved and the
communication is done properly.
Assures compliance and ethical standards with applicable laws, Sika’s Procurement Manual and Sika Code of Conduct.
Qualifications/Experience:
BSC or BE/B.Tech – Chemical or Mechanical, MBA or Post Graduation in Operations. Preferred from CIPET/SIES in Packaging Material.
5 to 10 years’ experience in procurement, supply chain or related activities. Exposure in Packaging Material sourcing.
Candidates preferred from Flooring, Adhesive & Sealant or Paint Industry.

Understanding and experience MRP, ERP process in SAP or AX
Knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policies and procedures.
Passion: Good with numbers and enjoying negotiating and communicating
Analytical Skills: Strategic thinking, Total cost of ownership (TCO), Supply market analysis.
Ability and willingness to travel via airplane, car, train or automobile including overnight stays
