Usage

Sika® ViscoCrete®-2002 HE BD a superplasticizer for free flowing concrete in floors, slabs, foundations, slender components with dense reinforcement, walls and columns and other structural elements. Sika® ViscoCrete®-2002 HE BD is mainly used for the following types of concrete:
  • High performance concrete
  • High strength concrete
  • Ready mixed concrete
  • Self compacting concrete
  • Precast concrete
  • Prestressed concrete
  • Pumped concrete

Application Information

Dispensing

Sika® ViscoCrete®-2002 HE BD is added to the gauging water or added with it into the concrete mixer. To take advantage of the high water reduction, a wet mixing time, which is depending on the mixing conditions and mixer performance, of at least 60 seconds is recommended.

To avoid excess water in the concrete, the final dosage must begin only after 2/3 of the wet mixing time.
Consumption

Recommended dosage

Standard dosage will vary from 0.5% to 2% by weight of cement.

Exact dosage rates are dependent on the quality of cement, aggregates, water/cement ratio and ambient temperature. Therefore, in many cases it is advisable to carry out trial mixes.

Higher dosage may be used if agreed by engineer and consultant. Stir well before use.
Application steps

CLEANING

Clean all tools and application equipment with water immediately after use. Hardened / cured material can only be mechanically removed.
